About Natalie

Born in Provence, Natalie Gourdal was a model in Paris who traveled the world extensively and discovered a passion for Art and nature. Natalie continued her studies in France before moving to Laguna Beach and enrolling in the Art Institute of Southern California in Laguna Beach. During workshops with Jackie Kamin, Peggy Kroll-Roberts, Ken Auster and Maria Bertran she realized that these artists influenced her artistic style.

Natalie has shown and sold her paintings at the Laguna Coast Gallery The Virga Gallery and Cove Gallery in Laguna Beach. She also exhibits and sells her paintings at  The Sawdust Festival.

For years, she painted Provencal landscapes inspired by the Country of her youth. While in Paris, galleries were showing cityscapes in black and white, she realized that color was vital for her. During a trip in New York and walking the streets of the Big Apple, she was truly inspired to start something new and different. Everyday objects become her inspirational tools, like fishnets, magazine pages, and cardboard pieces.

Her work is held in private collections in France, Germany, Italy, and throughout the United States.
